IB STUDENTS TEST FINAL PRODUCT 2016
The first ever Y13 D&T group have been user-testing their finished projects
Prim's laser-cut slot city building game for Y4 students was a hit during user trials.
Ken's project allows nursery aged children to develop their fine motor skills by interacting with a series of tasks. Several came over with Miss Meg to try it out and were fascinated by the various tasks.
Kenika took her Geography skills game to Year 4 where it went down well. The game uses co-ordinates, a world map and magnetic planes, as well as using an 8-sided dice to decide which direction players move.
Sahil's game develops number bonding skills as lower Primary aged children move footballers around a pitch. Both these games are attractively boxed for easy storage and have the possibility of manufacturing and selling additional sets of materials to extend the games in other directions.
Theo has developed a wheel of fortune type game for use in second language vocabulary acquisition, and has been trying out with Year 3 EAL students. (click to enlarge image)
