The 2015 expo was a great success with parents and students visiting the workshop to see laser cutting and 3d printing as well as being offered hand made xpo badges or souvenir keyrings. As usual, a wide ranging display of work from keystage 3 and 4 was available and well received by visitors. After school club Elite Members were on hand to help and were awarded their 2015 membership badges. Pictured below in their Xpo Staff T-shirts: (L-R)

INTERNATIONAL DAY 2014
This year we were in Morocco.
A group of Y9 students looked at the attractive screens and windows used in Moroccan design, and create a typical North African geometric pattern using laser cutting as well as a wooden window frame to hold it. The frame has mitre corners as well as a housing cut into it so that the acrylic could slide in. |
EXPO14
Expo14 must be coming. This year a special passport has been devised...it is lasercut, yellow and black, to fit in with the cautionary style. Each visit to a section of Expo14 will get an immigration style rubber stamp which Mr P has been busy making. The handle is 3d printed, with a lasercut foam rubber stamp. It looks dead cool.
